At the City Exhibition of Student STEM Research, a student may be selected to represent the Chicago Public Schools at the 2025 Illinois Junior Academy of Science Exposition (IJAS) to be held at the University of Illinois in Campaign/Urbana. The student may also be selected to represent the Chicago Public Schools at the 2025 Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair held in Columbus, Ohio. (This flow chart  highlights the steps a student should follow as he/she proceeds initial concept to the school level and on to the regional, city and state competition.)


Students with language and/or hearing impairments who will present at the City 
STEM Exhibition are encouraged to seek the assistance of their sponsoring teacher in making arrangements to have a language interpreter or sign language interpreter available during judging sessions. Arrangements for the use of a sign language interpreter can be made through the CPS Office of Specialized Services (553-1800).
