In June 2023, 9 high school graduates were selected to receive either cash scholarships or tuition waiver scholarships sponsored by local universities.

Since 1956, the CPS Student Science Fair, Inc., has awarded almost 1,200 scholarships, valued at over $4,000,000 to students from 77 Chicago public high schools.  (See the list below.)

Any prospective June CPS high school graduate who has participated in CPS science fairs (during grades 7-12) at an area or the city level and/or the symposium/essay competition and who is planning to major in science, mathematics, engineering, or computer science is eligible to apply for a scholarship.  The Scholarship Committee, representing business and education, selects scholarship recipients on the basis of participation in the Chicago Public Schools Science Fair, scholastic achievement, future goals, and personal interviews.
